Rock Against Communism
|
Rock Against Communism (RAC) was originally a series of concerts held in Britain in the 1980s and dominated by far-right and white supremacist bands. In more current usage, RAC refers to white supremacist music, typically with nationalistic, neo-Nazi and anti-Semitic themes.
The first RAC concert was held in response to the Rock Against Racism shows in England. The concerts were spearheaded by Ian Stuart Donaldson, from the band Skrewdriver.
Despite its name, RAC music often contains no references to communism.
As the Hardcore Punk scene grows, many White Power bands have sprung up that have a stronger Hardcore Punk than Oi! influence. Bands leading the Hatecore charge include Angry Aryans, Blue Eyed Devils and H8Machine.
