This is Austraia's leading and most important Charedi Orthodox Jewish community which was founded by Holocaust survivors from Hungary and Central Europe around 1949-50 and has become a shtetl in a shtetl - a truly independent community offering everything required for the Jewish family from womb- to- tomb, including schools, shechitah, kashrus, mikvaos, yeshiva, girls seminary, chevra kadisha, cemetery, etc.
