Richard James Oglesby

Richard James Oglesby (1824 – 1899) was a U.S. political figure. He served as the governor of Illinois between 1865 and 1869, again in 1873, and finally from 1885 to 1889. He was a U.S. Senator from Illinois from 1873 until 1878.
