Rapallo Conference

The Rapallo Conference was convened by the allied powers of World War I, on 1917-11-05 in Rapallo, Italy, following their defeat by Germany at the Battle of Caporetto.
The conference resolved to form a Supreme Allied Council at Versailles to co-ordinate allied plans and actions. The Council eventually led to the appointment of Ferdinand Foch as generalissimo of the allied powers.
