Pupitar is the evolved form of Larvitar. It is not a bug type as its name would suggest. It evolves from Larvitar at level 30, and evolves into Tyranitar at level 55 (much like Dratini-Dragonair-Dragonite in Red/Blue). It is, like Larvitar, rock/ground type, but it also learns some normal and dark moves as well. It is around 3 feet tall and looks somewhat like Kakuna or Metapod, only with a grey skin. Also, it has three spikes on the back of its head, several spots on its underside and evil-looking eyes.
Name Origin
The name Pupitar probably comes from the words pupa and tar. Pupitar is a member of the Hard Shell species of Pokémon.
