Point Edward is a village (adjacent to Sarnia, Ontario) in the Canadian province of Ontario. It is located at the mouth of the St. Clair River. As of 2001, the population was 2,101. The population in 1996 was 2,257. (A population change of -6.9%). The area is 3.27 square kilometres. In the summer of 2003, Point Edward celebrated its 125th anniversary.
Most businesses in Point Edward are independantly owned. The only franchises located in the village are hotels.
During the 2000 Summer Olympics in Atlanta, Brad Boston, a citizen of Point Edward, was present on the Canadian Sailing team. They finished 13th overall.
Bridgeview Elementary School is the only school located in the village. The two most notable landmarks in Point Edward are the Blue Water Bridge (actually Bridges) and the Point Edward Charity Casino.
