Pine Ridge is a census-designated place located in Collier County, Florida. As of the 2000 census, the CDP had a total population of 1,965.
Geography
Pine Ridge is located at 26°13'59" North, 81°47'51" West (26.232932, -81.797567)Template:GR.
According to the United States Census Bureau, the CDP has a total area of 4.8 km² (1.9 mi²). 4.6 km² (1.8 mi²) of it is land and 0.2 km² (0.1 mi²) of it is water. The total area is 4.84% water.
Demographics
As of the censusTemplate:GR of 2000, there are 1,965 people, 806 households, and 544 families residing in the CDP. The population density is 428.6/km² (1,111.9/mi²). There are 957 housing units at an average density of 208.8/km² (541.5/mi²). The racial makeup of the CDP is 97.56% White, 0.97% African American, 0.15% Native American, 0.46% Asian, 0.15% Pacific Islander, 0.31% from other races, and 0.41% from two or more races. 3.10% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race.
There are 806 households out of which 29.2% have children under the age of 18 living with them, 58.4% are married couples living together, 6.5% have a female householder with no husband present, and 32.5% are non-families. 27.3% of all households are made up of individuals and 10.7% have someone living alone who is 65 years of age or older. The average household size is 2.44 and the average family size is 3.00.
