Philippe Morillon

Philippe Morillon (born October 24, 1935 in Casablanca, Morocco) is a French Member of the European Parliament. He was elected on the Union for French Democracy ticket and sits with the Alliance of Liberals and Democrats for Europe group.

Before turning to politic he was an army General, and commanded the United Nations Forces in Bosnia (1992-1993). He is a Grand Officer of the Légion d'honneur.

On July 23, 2004 he was elected Chair of the Committee on Fisheries.
