Patriotic journalism

Patriotic journalism is used to describe a form of journalism that especially seems to occur in some countries when they are in a state of war or other major distress. Patriotic journalism aims at giving the home public an image of the current event that are in accordance to the views of the government, and in accordance with what is regarded as "best for the country".
This type of journalism does not normally take on direct falsifications, but may take place through the selection of exactly which news is reported, and is often biased.
