Patrick Duncan

Sir Patrick Duncan (1870 1943) was Governor General of the Union of South Africa between 1937 and 1943. During a political crisis over South Africa's participation in World War II, he refused a dissolution of parliament requested by Prime Minister Jan Smuts.
