Panevėžio Apskritis is one of ten apskritys in Lithuania. It is in the north-east of the country, and its capital is Panevėžys.
The latter-day Panevėžys county comprises the county capital city Panevėžys, together with the Biržai, Kupiškis, Panevėžys, Pasvalys, Rokiškis municipal districts.
Panevėžys county is the fourth largest county in Lithuania.
