One Nite Alone...Live!

One Nite Alone...Live! is an album by Prince, containing live recordings from a comparatively intimate setting rather than from stadium gigs. The album was released in 2002 but many of the tracks were new arragements of songs dating from more than 20 years earlier.

Although the album is put together in such a way as to suggest one continuous performance on each disc, and the sequence resembles live shows of this period, the songs were actually recorded singly at different times. The first two CDs contain the main act, the third CD the After-Show.

Highlights are 'Sometimes It Snows In April' at the piano, 'Adore', 'Joy in Repetition' from the After-Show CD. Prince is clearly both at the height of his musicianship and enjoying himself on this recording and is ably accompanied by the New Power Generation, Maceo, and Candy Dulfer.
