Oi Polloi are an anarcho-punk band that formed some time around 1981. Their first recording was a demo entitled Destroi the System, which was released in 1984 or 1985. They have had over fifty members since their inception, making up the various incarnations of the band. The only member to remain since the formation of the band is Deek (sometimes known as Degs), the lead singer. Currently they are based in Scotland. They are ultra-hardline ecologists, with the motto "No compromise in defence of our earth". They support action by any means in defence of the environment, and frequently endorse violence against police, fascists, and others they view as oppressors. They are considered by many to be one of the premier faces of anarcho-punk.
