Oakwood Hills is a village located in McHenry County, Illinois. As of the 2000 census, the village had a total population of 2,194.

According to the United States Census Bureau, the village has a total area of 3.1 km² (1.2 mi²). 2.9 km² (1.1 mi²) of it is land and 0.2 km² (0.1 mi²) of it is water. The total area is 6.61% water.
Demographics
As of the censusTemplate:GR of 2000, there are 2,194 people, 719 households, and 598 families residing in the village. The population density is 749.7/km² (1,943.9/mi²). There are 736 housing units at an average density of 251.5/km² (652.1/mi²). The racial makeup of the village is 98.04% White, 0.36% African American, 0.23% Native American, 0.32% Asian, 0.00% Pacific Islander, 0.18% from other races, and 0.87% from two or more races. 3.37% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race.
There are 719 households out of which 47.8% have children under the age of 18 living with them, 73.2% are married couples living together, 6.8% have a female householder with no husband present, and 16.8% are non-families. 11.8% of all households are made up of individuals and 2.2% have someone living alone who is 65 years of age or older. The average household size is 3.05 and the average family size is 3.34.
In the village the population is spread out with 31.5% under the age of 18, 7.1% from 18 to 24, 35.2% from 25 to 44, 22.3% from 45 to 64, and 3.9% who are 65 years of age or older. The median age is 34 years. For every 100 females there are 102.4 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there are 99.9 males.
The median income for a household in the village is $68,182, and the median income for a family is $70,875. Males have a median income of $52,051 versus $30,508 for females. The per capita income for the village is $26,397. 5.0% of the population and 3.9% of families are below the poverty line. Out of the total population, 4.2% of those under the age of 18 and 4.3% of those 65 and older are living below the poverty line.
