O-sensei
|
Ō-sensei (大先生) is a Japanese title used to distinguish between two teachers with the same name. The elder or superior one is then called osensei, and the other one waka sensei (若先生). In most cases, osensei is the father of waka sensei.
The most common use of this term is about the founder of aikido, Morihei Ueshiba, and many people wrongly think that he is the only carrier of this title. Template:Japan-stub
