The Nokia 6230 is a mobile phone based on the Nokia Series 40 platform. It features a 16-bit color screen with a resolution of 128x128, a VGA camera that can record video, built-in Bluetooth wireless technology, an MMC slot, and playback of Radio (when a wired headset is attached, to act as an FM antenna), and playback of MP3 and AAC audio. It is also EGPRS (EDGE) Capable of speeds up to 350 kbit/s.
The 6230 accepts MMC memory cards up to 1GB in capacity, on which multimedia files and data can be stored.
It operates on either GSM 900/1800/1900 (Nokia 6230a) or GSM 850/1800/1900 (Nokia 6230b).
Cingular Wireless is currently the only U.S. GSM carrier offering the Nokia 6230b in the United States.
