Ninian Edwards

Ninian Edwards (1775–1833) was a U.S. political figure. He served as the last governor of Illinois Territory between 1809 from 1818 and again as governor of Illinois (as a state) from 1826 until 1830. He served as a US Senator from Illinois from 1818 to 1824.
