Nima Yooshij (Persian: نیما یوشیج, shortly called Nima), born Ali Esfandiari (Persian: علی اسفندیاری), was a contemporary Iranian poet who started the she’r-e no ("new poem") trend in Iran. (1897 - 1959)
He is buried in his native village of Yush, as he had willed.
