In 2004 Godrich produced the Band Aid 20 charity single, featuring contributions from Supergrass' Danny Goffy, Sir Paul McCartney, Radiohead members Thom Yorke and Jonny Greenwood, Oasis' Noel Gallagher, Coldplay's Chris Martin, Bono of U2, Sugababes and others.
Nigel is sometimes credited as the "sixth member" of Radiohead and is given much credit for his work in the Oxford band. His first contributions were on the songs of My Iron Lung EP like "Permanent Daylight", "The Trickster" and "Lewis (Mistreated)". He went on to engineer Radiohead's second LP The Bends, co-produced "Black Star" from the same album and produced "Talk Show Host" ("Street Spirit" b-side and a fan-favourite).
His first full production job with Radiohead was on OK Computer, and he has produced every album since. He has gained respect for helping to define the band's significant sound. He helped to establish Radiohead as one the most acclaimed bands in the world and a seminal act of the 90s, taking the torch of U2 and R.E.M..de:Nigel Godrich
