New Lodge is an urban, working-class Catholic community, located Belfast, immediately north of the city centre. The area has a number of notable murals, mostly sited along the New Lodge Road. Architecturally, the district is dominated by several large towerblocks, although there has been significant redevelopment in recent years. The locality is demarcated by North Queen Street, Duncairn Gardens and the Antrim Road. North Queen Street and Duncairn Gardens have often played host to rioting between Republican and Loyalist gangs. Template:NI-geo-stub
