Nemain
|
In Irish mythology Nemain (or Nemhain) was a goddess of war, and possibly an aspect of the Mórrígan. Her name means 'panic' or 'frenzy', and causing it among warriors was her specialty: in the Táin Bó Cuailnge (Cattle Raid of Cooley) between Ulster and Connacht many warriors died because of this. The god Neit was her husband.
