National Front (East Germany)

Template:Politics in Germany The National Front was a united front of political parties and mass organisations in East Germany. It was controlled by the Socialist Unity Party of Germany. It was assembled to stand in elections to the East German parliament, the Volkskammer.
It consisted of the following parties:
- Socialist Unity Party of Germany (SED)
- Free German Trade Union Federation (FDGB)
- Christian Democratic Union (CDU)
- Liberal Democratic Party of Germany (LPDP)
- Democratic Farmers' Party of Germany (DBD)
- National Democratic Party of Germany (NDPD)
- Free German Youth (FDJ)
- Democratic Women's League of Germany (DFD)
- Cultural Association of the DDR
