According to the United States Census Bureau, the CDP has a total area of 4.9 km² (1.9 mi²). 4.9 km² (1.9 mi²) of it is land and none of it is covered by water.
Demographics
As of the censusTemplate:GR of 2000, there are 1,073 people, 356 households, and 247 families residing in the CDP. The population density is 216.9/km² (560.5/mi²). There are 433 housing units at an average density of 87.5/km² (226.2/mi²). The racial makeup of the CDP is 31.50% White, 1.68% African American, 0.28% Native American, 16.03% Asian, 16.31% Pacific Islander, 1.30% from other races, and 32.90% from two or more races. 16.22% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race.
There are 356 households out of which 42.1% have children under the age of 18 living with them, 42.7% are married couples living together, 18.8% have a female householder with no husband present, and 30.6% are non-families. 23.0% of all households are made up of individuals and 9.6% have someone living alone who is 65 years of age or older. The average household size is 3.01 and the average family size is 3.57.
