Murdo MacKenzie

Murdo Mackenzie (1850-1939) was a Scot who was manager of The Matador Land and Cattle Co. He was also Manager of the Prairie Land and Cattle Company. When Teddy Roosevelt visited Brazil, it was Mackenzie with whom he stayed. He was a cattle baron and is mentioned in the pages of the Time/Life Series "The West." He lived in Stonewall, Colorado while offices of the Matador were located in Trinidad,Colorado. He was buried in 1939 in Denver, Colorado.
The town of Murdo, South Dakota was named for Mackenzie.
Mackenzie was Scrooge McDuck's Boss in the fictional story The Life and Times of Scrooge McDuck, Part 3.
