Moundville is a town located in Hale County, Alabama. As of the 2000 census, the population of the town is 1,809.
Geography
Moundville is located at 32°59'55" North, 87°37'34" West (32.998521, -87.626006)Template:GR.
According to the U.S. Census Bureau, the town has a total area of 10.3 km² (4.0 mi²). 10.2 km² (3.9 mi²) of it is land and 0.1 km² (0.04 mi²) of it is water. The total area is 1.00% water.

As of the censusTemplate:GR of 2000, there are 1,809 people, 688 households, and 478 families residing in the town. The population density is 177.3/km² (458.7/mi²). The racial makeup of the town is 61.30% White, 35.16% Black or African American, 0.66% Native American, 0.94% Asian, 0.00% Pacific Islander, 0.83% from other races, and 1.11% from two or more races. 1.55% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race.
There are 688 households out of which 35.9% have children under the age of 18 living with them, 45.3% are married couples living together, 19.0% have a female householder with no husband present, and 30.4% are non-families. 27.6% of all households are made up of individuals and 10.9% have someone living alone who is 65 years of age or older.
