Morrison County is a county located in the state of Minnesota. As of 2000, the population is 31,712. Its county seat is Little Falls6.

Geography
According to the U.S. Census Bureau, the county has a total area of 2,987 km² (1,153 mi²). 2,912 km² (1,124 mi²) of it is land and 75 km² (29 mi²) of it is water. The total area is 2.50% water.

Demographics
As of the census2 of 2000, there are 31,712 people, 11,816 households, and 8,460 families residing in the county. The population density is 11/km² (28/mi²). There are 13,870 housing units at an average density of 5/km² (12/mi²). The racial makeup of the county is 98.48% White, 0.21% Black or African American, 0.32% Native American, 0.25% Asian, 0.03% Pacific Islander, 0.15% from other races, and 0.55% from two or more races. 0.64% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race.
There are 11,816 households out of which 34.50% have children under the age of 18 living with them, 59.40% are married couples living together, 7.80% have a female householder with no husband present, and 28.40% are non-families. 24.90% of all households are made up of individuals and 11.80% have someone living alone who is 65 years of age or older. The average household size is 2.64 and the average family size is 3.15.
In the county the population is spread out with 28.00% under the age of 18, 8.00% from 18 to 24, 26.70% from 25 to 44, 21.70% from 45 to 64, and 15.60% who are 65 years of age or older. The median age is 37 years. For every 100 females there are 101.20 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there are 99.50 males.
The median income for a household in the county is $37,047, and the median income for a family is $44,175. Males have a median income of $31,037 versus $22,244 for females. The per capita income for the county is $16,566. 11.10% of the population and 7.50% of families are below the poverty line. Out of the total population, 11.40% of those under the age of 18 and 18.50% of those 65 and older are living below the poverty line.
