Moon Ska
|
Once the home of many independent Ska bands and limited issues from overseas, Moon Ska is no longer extant.
Robert "Bucket" Hingley started this label in the early 1980s to distribute the works of his band, The Toasters.
This label rose to prominence in the early 1990s, signing many of the genre's finest bands, like The Slackers, Hepcat, Skavoovie and the Epitones, as well as many lesser known and in retrospect less deserving bands.
The label is now survived by Moon Ska Europe, which can be found at moonskaeurope.com. This label still releases albums by different bands. Recently, the song "Heartache" by Chris Murray off his Moon Ska Europe album "One Everything" was featured on The O.C.
