Montenegro Airlines

Montenegro Airlines is the national carrier of Montenegro and based in Podgorica. It is a government airline operating mostly regular and ad hoc charter flights within Central and Eastern Europe and the Mediterranean. Its main base is Podgorica Airport (TGD).

History
It was founded on October 24, 1994 by the government of Montenegro, but the first aircraft, a Fokker F28-4000 was purchased in the autumn of 1996 and the first flight was made on May 7 1997 between Podgorica and Bari, Italy. A temporary ban on flights within the European Union was lifted on 11 October 1999. In 2000 the first Fokker F100 aircraft was delivered. Montenegro Airlines carried its millionth passenger on July 2 2004. The same year they carried record 370,000 passengers.

- International scheduled destinations: Frankfurt, Rome and Zurich, Paris, Skoplje, Ljubljana, Bari, and Napoli.
