Monetary Authority of Macau

The Monetary Authority of Macao (澳門金融管理局; AMCM as the abbreviation retained from the past; Autoridade Monetaria de Macau, in Portuguese) is a regulatory institution established on December 20, 1999, upon the return of the Macau Special Administrative Region (SAR) to the People's Republic of China.
It was formerly known as the "Monetary and Foreign Exchange Authority of Macau" (Autoridade Monetaria e Cambial de Macau, AMCM, in Portuguese), which had been created on July 1, 1989)
