Minnesota Territory

Minnesota Territory was an organized territory of the United States from March 3, 1849 to May 11, 1858, when Minnesota was admitted as the 32nd state. The original boundaries, as carved out of Iowa Territory, included the current Minnesota region and most of the Dakotas east of the Missouri River.
The territorial capital was St. Paul, Minnesota.
