Mineralwells, also known as Mineral Wells, is a census-designated place located in Wood County, West Virginia. As of the 2000 census, the CDP had a total population of 1,860.
The United States Census Bureau calls the community Mineralwells, but it has long been locally called Mineral Wells, and the United States Postal Service renamed the community's post office in the late 1990s to the latter rendering.

According to the United States Census Bureau, the CDP has a total area of 4.1 km² (1.6 mi²). 4.1 km² (1.6 mi²) of it is land and none of the area is covered with water.
Demographics
As of the censusTemplate:GR of 2000, there are 1,860 people, 674 households, and 552 families residing in the community. The population density is 451.7/km² (1,171.8/mi²). There are 708 housing units at an average density of 171.9/km² (446.0/mi²). The racial makeup of the community is 98.71% White, 0.16% African American, 0.27% Native American, 0.22% Asian, 0.05% Pacific Islander, 0.00% from other races, and 0.59% from two or more races. 0.22% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race.
There are 674 households out of which 42.0% have children under the age of 18 living with them, 68.8% are married couples living together, 10.7% have a female householder with no husband present, and 18.0% are non-families. 15.0% of all households are made up of individuals and 4.2% have someone living alone who is 65 years of age or older. The average household size is 2.76 and the average family size is 3.03.
The age distribution is 29.0% under the age of 18, 7.7% from 18 to 24, 30.0% from 25 to 44, 26.3% from 45 to 64, and 7.0% who are 65 years of age or older. The median age is 35 years. For every 100 females there are 94.0 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there are 94.3 males.
