The racial makeup of the city is 77.69% White, 8.77% African American, 0.54% Native American, 0.65% Asian, 0.01% Pacific Islander, 10.50% from other races, and 1.84% from two or more races. 19.27% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race.
