Military tribunal

A military tribunal is defined by three traits: it operates outside the scope of conventional criminal and civil matters; the judges are military officers; and the judges fulfill the role of jurors. Tribunals tend to be executed with some degree of secrecy in excess of that afforded to civil inquiries and trials, and may vary according to nation and sometimes military branch and regional jurisdiction.
