Michigan State Highway 227

Michigan State Highway 227, or M-227, is a 6.71 mile north-south state highway in Michigan. It consists largely of a segment of old U.S. Highway 27 south of Marshall, Michigan, but instead of leading to downtown as one would expect of the usual business route, it takes a course along the more industrial south and west sides of Marshall, apparently to accommodate large trucks.
The southern terminus is Interstate 69 at exit 32 between Tekonsha, Michigan and Marchall. The northern terminus is business loop Interstate 94/Michigan Avenue on the west side of Marshall, near Interstate 69. It came into existence nearly thirty-five years after the completion of Interstate 69 in southern Michigan and, except for the section of old U.S. 27, was long a collection of unnumbered local surface roads.
It lies entirely within Calhoun County and is entirely an undivided surface route.
