Mechanical Wonder is a 2001 album by Ocean Colour Scene.
The title is believed to refer to against dance music, and the title track "the Mechanical Wonder is... ...just a noise in my room", though the band deny this. Up on the Downside, the other single is. The album was not a success, marking the end of the Britpop success of the band. After the failure of the album, the band decided to release themselves from their cotract with their record label. Their next studio album proper, North Atlantic Drift was better.
