Mantee is a village located in Webster County, Mississippi. As of the 2000 census, the village had a total population of 169.
Geography
Mantee is located at 33°43'50" North, 89°3'36" West (33.730615, -89.060074)Template:GR.
According to the United States Census Bureau, the village has a total area of 4.4 km² (1.7 mi²). 4.3 km² (1.6 mi²) of it is land and 0.2 km² (0.1 mi²) of it is water. The total area is 3.51% water.
Demographics
As of the censusTemplate:GR of 2000, there are 169 people, 74 households, and 52 families residing in the village. The population density is 39.5/km² (102.3/mi²). There are 77 housing units at an average density of 18.0/km² (46.6/mi²). The racial makeup of the village is 99.41% White, 0.59% African American, 0.00% Native American, 0.00% Asian, 0.00% Pacific Islander, 0.00% from other races, and 0.00% from two or more races. 1.78% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race.
There are 74 households out of which 24.3% have children under the age of 18 living with them, 67.6% are married couples living together, 1.4% have a female householder with no husband present, and 28.4% are non-families. 28.4% of all households are made up of individuals and 12.2% have someone living alone who is 65 years of age or older. The average household size is 2.28 and the average family size is 2.77.
