Malvern is a town located in Geneva County, Alabama. As of the 2000 census, the population of the town is 1,215.

According to the U.S. Census Bureau, the town has a total area of 36.3 km² (14.0 mi²). 36.3 km² (14.0 mi²) of it is land and none of it is covered by water.
Demographics
As of the censusTemplate:GR of 2000, there are 1,215 people, 485 households, and 370 families residing in the town. The population density is 33.5/km² (86.7/mi²). There are 547 housing units at an average density of 15.1/km² (39.0/mi²). The racial makeup of the town is 94.57% White, 2.22% Black or African American, 1.15% Native American, 0.25% Asian, 0.00% Pacific Islander, 1.07% from other races, and 0.74% from two or more races. 1.32% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race.
There are 485 households out of which 36.1% have children under the age of 18 living with them, 60.2% are married couples living together, 11.5% have a female householder with no husband present, and 23.7% are non-families. 21.0% of all households are made up of individuals and 7.6% have someone living alone who is 65 years of age or older. The average household size is 2.51 and the average family size is 2.89.
