Make Yourself is an album by the rock band Incubus, released by Sony on October 26, 1999. Make Yourself hit Gold status in April of 2000, a success which can be attributed to the success of the first single, Pardon Me. Six months later, on October 5th, the album went Platinum -- and in less than a year, by July 2001, that sales figure had doubled.
The Stellar single was released in 2000. Drive was released as a single on January 15th, 2001, and managed to climb to the top of the Modern Rock Charts.
To most fans, Make Yourself represents a significant shift in the band's sound, with higher-quality production sounds and a more mellow tone to it than its precursor, S.C.I.E.N.C.E. Boyd's lyrics matured, rendering a polemic for fierce self-creation. In some ways Make Yourself acted as a preview of Morning View, the popular album that was to follow.
It was re-released as a special edition with an extra CD featuring six live and acoustic tracks.
This is also the first CD Incubus recorded with new turntablist Chris Kilmore, who replaced DJ Lyfe.
