Makabe (真壁郡; -gun) is a district located in Ibaraki, Japan.
As of the Chikusei merger but with 2003 population data, the district has an estimated population of 26,699 and a density of 288 persons per km². The total area is 92.62 km².
Towns and villages
Mergers
On March 28, 2005 the towns of Akeno, Kyowa, and Sekijo merged with the city of Shimodate forming the city of Chikusei.
