Madonna Wayne Gacy
|
Madonna Wayne Gacy (b: Stephen Gregory Bier Jr., born March 6, 1964) is the current keyboard player for Marilyn Manson. It can be argued that Bier is the one remaining member of the band with a sense of humor, however twisted.
Trivia
He is named after the singer Madonna and the serial killer John Wayne Gacy. He is often referred to as "Pogo," John Wayne Gacy's clown name. "Pogo" is also the name of a cartoon character in the political cartoon of the same name, created by Walt Kelly.
Had never picked up a keyboard until he joined Marilyn Manson.
Manson's "progressive attitude" toward band members who don't do exactly as he wants combined with Bier's laissez-faire attitude leaves some fans wondering how long he will remain in the band. He is the last original member left besides Manson himself.
His father is Jewish and his is mother Catholic. This along with his Germanic roots might explain some of the facination with all things German, World War II, and military. During the "Dead To The World" tour, he wore a German military-style suit onstage.
Thought to have a BS in Computer Science. Rumoured to have once been offered a job at NASA.
Also has a deep fascination with all things Japanese. Once dated a woman named Hitomi and was pictured with her at the 1998 MTV Music Awards.
Responsible for much of the Numerological meanings behind Marilyn Manson albums.
He is known for talking fast and knowing a lot on a variety of subjects. Has eaten glass on more then one occasion. Loves beer.
Has played the following on Marilyn Manson's albums: Calliope, Hammond Organ, Saxophone, Sound Effects, Theremin, Brass, Overdubs, Loops, Bassoon, Drums, Piano, Keyboards, Drums (Electric), Sampling, Mellotron, Shaker, Synthesizer.
Was born in Florida.
