Métal Hurlant is the name of a French magazine of science fiction comics, created in December 1974 by Jean Giraud (aka Mbius), Jean-Pierre Dionnet and Philippe Druillet. It was published in the United States under the title Heavy Metal. It ceased publication in July 1987.
It began publishing again in July 2002 by Humanoids Publishing, with a French, English, Spanish and Portuguese version, under the French name.
