Lyndonville, New York

Lyndonville is a village located in Orleans County, New York. As of the 2000 census, the village had a total population of 862. The name was selected because some of the early settlers were from Lyndon, Vermont.
The Village of Lyndonville was incorporated in 1903 and is within the borders of the Town of Yates.

According to the United States Census Bureau, the village has a total area of 2.6 km² (1.0 mi²). 2.6 km² (1.0 mi²) of it is land and none of the area is covered with water.
Demographics
As of the censusTemplate:GR of 2000, there are 862 people, 325 households, and 228 families residing in the village. The population density is 326.3/km² (841.7/mi²). There are 344 housing units at an average density of 130.2/km² (335.9/mi²). The racial makeup of the village is 98.14% White, 0.23% African American, 0.00% Native American, 0.46% Asian, 0.00% Pacific Islander, 0.70% from other races, and 0.46% from two or more races. 1.51% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race.
There are 325 households out of which 37.5% have children under the age of 18 living with them, 52.0% are married couples living together, 10.2% have a female householder with no husband present, and 29.8% are non-families. 25.2% of all households are made up of individuals and 15.1% have someone living alone who is 65 years of age or older. The average household size is 2.65 and the average family size is 3.12.
In the village the population is spread out with 29.4% under the age of 18, 8.9% from 18 to 24, 25.9% from 25 to 44, 21.3% from 45 to 64, and 14.5% who are 65 years of age or older. The median age is 36 years. For every 100 females there are 95.5 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there are 90.3 males.
