Lower Moreland Township is a township located in Montgomery County, Pennsylvania. As of the 2000 census, the township had a total population of 11,281.

Geography
According to the United States Census Bureau, the township has a total area of 18.9 km² (7.3 mi²). 18.9 km² (7.3 mi²) of it is land and none of the area is covered with water.
Demographics
As of the census2 of 2000, there are 11,281 people, 4,112 households, and 3,330 families residing in the township. The population density is 597.5/km² (1,548.3/mi²). There are 4,209 housing units at an average density of 222.9/km² (577.7/mi²). The racial makeup of the township is 95.36% White, 0.53% African American, 0.05% Native American, 3.37% Asian, 0.00% Pacific Islander, 0.20% from other races, and 0.50% from two or more races. 0.91% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race.
There are 4,112 households out of which 31.4% have children under the age of 18 living with them, 73.1% are married couples living together, 5.6% have a female householder with no husband present, and 19.0% are non-families. 17.4% of all households are made up of individuals and 11.5% have someone living alone who is 65 years of age or older. The average household size is 2.71 and the average family size is 3.07.
In the township the population is spread out with 22.3% under the age of 18, 5.8% from 18 to 24, 20.9% from 25 to 44, 30.7% from 45 to 64, and 20.4% who are 65 years of age or older. The median age is 46 years. For every 100 females there are 93.9 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there are 90.6 males.
The median income for a household in the township is $82,597, and the median income for a family is $98,656. Males have a median income of $69,173 versus $37,902 for females. The per capita income for the township is $40,129. 2.1% of the population and 1.1% of families are below the poverty line. Out of the total population, 1.4% of those under the age of 18 and 3.0% of those 65 and older are living below the poverty line.
