Lord Polwarth

The title Lord Polwarth, of Polwarth in the County of Berwick, was created in the Peerage of Scotland in 1690 for Sir Patrick Hume of Polwarth, 2nd Baronet. In 1697, Hume was granted a second creation of the Lordship, along with the Earldom of Marchmont. Upon the death of the third Earl, however, the creations of 1697 became dormant (unclaimed), while the 1690 Lordship passed to Anne Anstruther-Paterson.
