Lomma is a municipality and smalltown in Scania in southernmost Sweden. The town is situated 10 kilometers north of Malmö, at the mouth of the rivulet Höje å in Öresund. The town has a small harbor.
Lomma is an old fishing village and factory town where in 1871 Sweden's first cement works was established. Lomma Beach is the principal beach for people from the neighboring city of Lund, 10 km to the north-east.
The municipality covers an area of 55.3 km². Of the total population of 18,044, 8,944 are male, and 9,100 are female. The population density of the municipality is 327 inhabitants per km². The fashionable village of Bjärred, located at Öresund 5 km north of Lomma, also belongs to the municipality, as well as Alnarp, one of the main campuses of the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences.
