Loch Leven is a body of fresh water in Perth and Kinross, Scotland.
Roughly circular, the loch has a diameter of about 16 kilometers. The town of Kinross lies at its western end.
Loch Leven Castle lies on an island in the middle of Loch Leven. The castle was the prison of Mary, Queen of Scots in 1567.
There is also a saltwater Loch Leven on the west coast of Scotland.
