Template:Politics of Monaco Political parties in Monaco lists political parties in Monaco. Monaco was traditionally a one party dominant state with the National and Democratic Union in power. Opposition parties were widely considered to have no real chance of gaining power. In 2000, however, the Union for Monaco a coalition of two parties, won 21 of the 24 seats in the National Council of Monaco.
