Notes

Note 1: Although the Washington Nationals franchise hasn't advanced to the post-season since 1981, it should be noted that the 1994 Montréal Expos almost assuredly would have competed in the playoffs (who at the time had the best record) had it not been for the 1994 players' strike, which resulted in the cancellation of the entire post-season.
