Lisa Vessey

Lisa Vessey is the commissioner of the Women's Professional Football League (WPFL). Vessey, a former football official and practicing attorney, serves as the official league spokesperson and oversees the implementation of league by-laws and their enforcement. Vessey was born and raised in Minnesota and now resides in Chicago.
Vessey works as a business litigation attorney representing companies, individuals and not-for-profit organizations in complex cases, including class action. She is regularly engaged to advise officers and directors of for-profit and not-for profit corporations.
Vessey was selected to serve as hearing officer for the Illinois State University Civil Service System, and also appointed to roster of arbitrators for the National Association of Securities Dealers.
A former sports official with substantial experience officiating flag football, Vessey participated in a certification program for Arizona high school football officials.
