Linthwaite

Linthwaite (also pronounced Linfit by locals) is a village in the county of West Yorkshire, England, on the west side of Huddersfield. The River Colne and the Huddersfield Narrow Canal both pass through the village. It is a busy little village with 5 pubs, quite a few take aways and a couple of restaurants.
Linthwaite Hall on Linfit Fold was built around 1600.
Blackmoorfoot Reservoir is a wintering site for migrating wildfowl and wading birds.
